Navigating financial aid: Simple steps for new and returning students
All on-campus and online undergraduate students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year they plan to enroll. The FAFSA determines your eligibility for scholarships and grants, as well as federal and state aid. After you apply to Malone and complete a FAFSA, you will receive a customized financial aid award.
Follow the steps below to apply for financial aid.
- Apply for Admission: Contact our Admissions Office at 1-800-958-8734 or admissions@malone.edu. Alternatively, submit an online application.
- Early Start on Financial Aid: Visit the FAFSA forecaster site for estimated eligibility and insights on the financial aid process. Benefits include automatic FSA ID generation, pre-populated FAFSA applications, and access to a Net price calculator.
- Complete the FAFSA: Apply online at studentaid.gov (Malone Title IV school code: 003072) or use the myStudentAid mobile app.

- Renew your FAFSA electronically at www.studentaid.gov by March 1 to ensure access to a wider range of aid options, including Perkins loans and work-study programs.

Can I use my VA benefits towards my tuition cost?
Yes. Malone participates in veteran educational benefits programs including the Yellow Ribbon Program.
Does Malone offer any scholarships for local students?
Yes! Malone offers the Stark County Scholars program to enable academically qualified, need-based scholarships for students who attend a Stark County high school, have demonstrated financial aid and a 2.8 cumulative GPA.
Does Malone participate in the Choose Ohio first scholarship program?
Yes! First-time Malone freshmen interested in certain academic programs are also eligible to receive up to $8,000 in additional funding through the Choose Ohio First program.
