The programs in Malone University’s Division of Natural and Health Sciences are centered on the Christian perspective of love and care for people and stewardship of God’s creation. This basis provides a natural foundation for students to demonstrate God’s love in their respective communities by serving others with compassion and respect.

Natural and Health Sciences Facilities

The 30,000 square-foot Regula Hall and the Timken Science building houses classrooms, state-of-the-art nursing and science laboratories, faculty offices, and a café.

The Center for Nursing Exploration is dedicated to providing healthcare education that focuses on patient-centered care, patient safety, and teamwork through realistic simulation experiences using manikins, task trainers, simulated patients, and virtual reality technology.

The Center for Exercise Testing contains equipment to provide high-level teaching experiences for Exercise Science students. The CET has a BOD-POD, the gold standard for body composition analysis. The CET is also features CardioCoach metabolic testing equipment and MicroFit fitness testing assessment system, along with other pieces of health, wellness and fitness assessment tools.

The ornithology and wildlife lab is where students begin to develop a knowledge of and passion for studying birds and other wildlife. Students learn to identify bird and animal species, practice field research techniques, and study the impacts of environmental factors.

The comparative anatomy, botany, and animal behavior lab is home to more advanced wildlife studies as well as the study of plants, including their structure, function, classification, and interactions with their environment.

The Malone Zoo provides Zoo & Wildlife Biology students the opportunity to work closely with a variety of animals, including invertebrates, freshwater and saltwater fish, native and exotic amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. This immersion allows students to build practical skills and a deeper connection to animals.
