National Voter Registration Act

Since the start of the 2012 election year, institutions of higher education have been required to engage in certain voter registration activities in preparation for national and state gubernatorial elections.

The 1998 Reauthorization of the Higher Education Act of 1965 mandates that institutions must distribute mail-in voter registration forms and make such forms are widely available to students in years when there are elections for federal office, governor or other chief executives within the state [HEA Section 487(a)(23)].

Malone University, in an effort to comply with the National Voter Registration Act ((42 U.S.C. 1973gg-2(b)), is supplying students with the links below to assist in student voter registration.

Mail-in registration forms are available in the Office of the Registrar & the Center for Student Success.
