Host Your Next Event at Malone

Host your next event at Malone University, where exceptional service meets versatile venues in the heart of Canton, Ohio. From professional conferences and corporate meetings to banquets and weddings, our campus offers a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces to suit your needs.

Our dedicated Event Services team will work closely with you to ensure every detail is tailored to your vision, providing support with venue selection, audiovisual needs, and catering services. Experience a seamless planning process and create memorable moments at Malone.

External Events

We consider an event ‘external’ when it’s not directly connected to the University’s current academic or administrative activities.

External guests will need to sign a contract, provide a Certificate of Liability insurance, utilize our contracted catering service (AVI Fresh) for all food and beverage needs, and pay in full prior to the event.

Internal Events

We consider an event ‘internal’ when it fulfills or supports the mission of the University, is funded by University, and is planned and supervised by a University department or recognized student organization in good standing. 

Participants may include current students, employees, or future students.  Logistics for internal events are managed by a designated University representative.

Co-sponsored Events

A co-sponsored event happens when a University department or student group teams up with a nonprofit organization for a shared purpose that supports Malone’s mission and values.

The University department leads planning, completes paperwork, coordinates with the external group, and is present during the event. Their presence ensures compliance with University policies.

Events can’t result in personal or departmental gain or be used for fundraising. All event costs must be covered by the University group and the external partner.

The Brehme Conference Center is a popular space on campus for business meetings or luncheons, as well as events which are more for mingling or displays.

The Johnson Center is home to our 1,100 person capacity Worship Center and the JC Dining Room, which can be adjusted in size to accommodate your group for meetings or meals.

The Stewart Room is a popular event space on campus because of its unique character and versatility. It is frequently used for student social events, fine arts recitals, and guest speakers.

The Stewart Room can seat 119 chairs for smaller speaking engagements.

Inside the Johnson Center, the Worship Center has a 1,100 person capacity, with A/V support available.

For smaller gatherings, the Deuble Room inside the Brehme Centennial Center, provides an intimate setting for breakout sessions or committee meetings.
