Non-Federal Work Study Opportunities

If you do not qualify for federal workstudy, or you applied too late (after March 1) to receive it in your financial aid award letter, you may seek employment from the following sources:

  • Our dining hall (operated by AVI Foodsystem Inc., and therefore considered an "off-campus" employer) AVI hires Malone students to work in the cafeteria, in two on-campus cafes and to assist with banquets. Contact Francesca Perfetto- Yanik at 330-417-8227 or email fperfetto-yanik@malone.edu . You may apply in person by going to the cafeteria and asking for an application.

  • Employment/internship positions: both short-term and long-term part-time jobs in the nearby community can be found at https://www.malone.edu/academics/academic-resources/center-for-student-success/career-development/

  • Try using the reputable site www.care.com to look for babysitting or tutoring opportunities.

  • There are numerous fast food restaurants and fine dining restaurants or retail shops near campus that offer employment opportunities for students.

  • If you have a car, you will be able to drive to numerous places of business in both the Belden Village Mall and The Strip in North Canton and surrounding areas  for possible employment.
  • Questions about public transportation? Visit http://www.sartaonline.com/ or call 330-47-SARTA (330-477-2782)
