In a joint effort with the Cleveland Clinic, this new program offers a 15% discount for the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree at Malone – exclusively to Cleveland Clinic employees.

Designed to minimize the out-of-pocket cost for practicing nurses while retaining talent for the region’s nursing workforce, this discount program is available for licensed nurses at any Cleveland Clinic facility. Program participants also benefit from a streamlined application process and a waiver of typical graduation fees.

"The Cleveland Clinic is known internationally as a healthcare provider that delivers world class care and excellence in nursing. As part of their mission, they demonstrate a deep commitment to educating their employees,” said Blaise Brankatelli, director of graduate & professional admissions and external partnerships. “With this newly created program, we’re thrilled to participate in and contribute to the ongoing education and equipping of Clinic nurses as they earn their APRN with our graduate level programs. We believe that, through this discount program, we can foster ongoing development and opportunity for this crucial portion of Ohio's workforce."

Malone University offers two specialized MSN tracks to choose from: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP). Both can be completed fully online in as little as two years with opportunities to enroll throughout the year. Nurses who have already completed a MSN in another specialty are able to complete a post-masters certificate for either track in as little as one year. All MSN candidates participate in evidence-based practice projects and three intensive, advanced skills lab sessions at key points throughout the program.

“This collaboration is exciting to me because the skills and expertise of Clinic nurses will bring so much value to our MSN classroom discussions and shared learning,” said Carrie Stroup, DNP, chief nurse administrator and associate professor of nursing. “I’m confident that the flexibility of our online programming and our supportive and highly qualified faculty will continue to provide all of our graduate students with the opportunity to not just learn, but apply their knowledge into practice as they pursue this next step in their professional growth.”
