Request for Pi Chi Chapter Support

At the October 2016 meeting of the Pi Chi Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, International, the Board of Directors established and unanimously approved the following parameters to guide the solicitation, review, and awarding of funds for the purposes of supporting scholarly activities by our active chapter members and others:

  1. Maximum amount budgeted for all awards in a cycle to be declared each September and will represent 15% of Chapter’s total holdings;
  2. Applicants may be funded once a cycle; multiple awards to one person in a cycle will not be permitted;
  3. All funded projects or requests will be subject to review by the Board – thus each awardee will be required to provide the Board with a summary of their completed project/poster/presentation.  

Further, the members acknowledged ongoing approval of the application form below. This form is to be used for any and all applications for funding support and retained as part of the Chapter’s budget documents. 

Criteria

  • Activity and/or materials are directly related to Pi Chi Chapter
  • Activity and/or materials are related to the mission of supporting the learning, knowledge,  and professional development of nurses committed to making a difference in health worldwide  
  • Activity and/or materials to support student attainment of knowledge 
  • Activity and/or materials to support student professional development

Deadlines

Applications are considered on a first-come, first serve basis throughout the academic year (September to June); when the annual budgeted reserve has been disbursed, no additional monies will be granted. The reserve is renewed each September.

Preference given to Pi Chi members and Malone University students. Open to all STTI members.
