Environmental Science Minor

For those who have a desire to embrace creation care and share that passion with others, the Environmental Science minor will prepare you for careers in conservation and sustainability. Explore the interactions between humans and our environment as they relate to human population growth, food and agriculture, natural resource use and energy production, as well as pollution and conservation science. Become a good steward of the natural resources God has given us by studying the OSHA Laboratory Standard and regulations that guide chemical laboratory safety as well as proper chemical disposal and the environmental impact of chemical use. Through the field identification of a variety of wildlife species, learn about the factors that inform species management and conservation decisions including habitat needs and requirements as well as appropriate responses to environmental stressors.
